Dee Freeman Governor Director Secretary July 30, 2012 Mr. Juanita R. James James & James Environmental P.O. Box 1354 Mountain Home, N.C. 28758-1354 Subject: Waiver of Monthly Reporting Requirement NPDES Permit NCO039187 Valley View Shopping Center WWTP Buncombe County Dear Ms. James: The Division has reviewed your request to suspend submission of monthly Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs). After considering the recommendations of the staff in the Asheville Regional Office, I have agreed to waive the requirement to submit monthly DMRs for the subject facility, effective July 1, 2012. The DMRs up through (and including) June 2012 should be submitted as usual. Be advised that if and when any wastewater discharge occurs, the discharge must be monitored as per the terms of the NPDES permit and other applicable rules or statutes. Please keep the Asheville Regional Office apprised of any pertinent developments that arise regarding this facility, especially if the discharge is re -activated. While requirements for operator visitation, monitoring and reporting are being waived, the Permittee is still required to pay the Annual Administering and Compliance Monitoring Fee that is associated with this and all NPDES permits. If you have any questions, or if you wish to request rescission of either permit, contact Charles H. Weaver at 919 807-6391. ince ely, J Charles Wakild, P.E. cc: Central Files Asheville Regional Office / Jeff Menzel NPDES Files Charles W.
