Description of projects area and activity: This verification authorizes the permanent discharge of dredged or fill material into 0.029 acre (345 linear feet) of stream channel (0.0194 acre [230 linear feet] of which results in the permanent loss of waters) and 0.047 acre of riparian non-riverine wetlands, and the temporary discharge of dredged or fill material into 0.010 acre (112 linear feet) of stream channel and 0.021 acre of riparian non-riverine wetlands, necessary for the construction of access and infrastructure for the Nelson's Creek at Mocksville residential development. Residential Developments SEE ATTACHED NWP GENERAL, REGIONAL, AND/OR SPECIAL CONDITIONS Your work is authorized by the above referenced permit provided it is accomplished in strict accordance with the attached Conditions, your application signed and dated 1/20/2023, additional information received via email on 3/20/2023, and the enclosed plans "Nelson's Creek at Mocksville Subdivision" Sheet Nos. 1-4 and "Nelson's Creek Phase 2 — Construction Plat" Sheet No. C2.0. Any violation of the attached conditions or deviation from your submitted plans may subject the permittee to a stop work order, a restoration order, a Class I administrative penalty, and/or appropriate legal action. This verification will remain valid until the expiration date identified below unless the nationwide and/or regional general permit authorization is modified, suspended or revoked. If, prior to the expiration date identified below, the nationwide and/or regional general permit authorization is reissued and/or modified, this verification will remain valid until the expiration date identified below, provided it complies with all requirements of the modified nationwide permit. If the nationwide and/or regional general permit authorization expires or is suspended, revoked, or is modified, such that the activity would no longer comply with the terms and conditions of the nationwide permit, activities which have commenced (i.e., are under construction) or are under contract to commence in reliance upon the nationwide and/or regional general permit, will remain authorized provided the activity is completed within twelve months of the date of the nationwide and/or regional general permit's expiration, modification or revocation, unless discretionary authority has been exercised on a case -by -case basis to modify, suspend or revoke the authorization. Activities subject to Section 404 (as indicated above) may also require an individual Section 401 Water Quality Certification. Authorized temporary wetland and stream impacts must be restored to original grade and contour and seeded with native riparian or wetland seed mix (per "Nelson's Creek Phase 2 — Construction Plat" Sheet No. C2.0). Disturbed stream banks must be matted with biodegradable matting as appropriate. 2. Please note that future impacts and/or phases of the Nelson's Creek at Mocksville residential development, and related activities associated with Corps Action ID: SAW-2022-00168, may be considered part of a single and complete project; these impacts may be considered cumulative with impacts authorized during earlier phases with respect to compensatory mitigation and Nationwide Permit thresholds. Current cumulative impacts to waters of the US for the Nelson's Creek at Mocksville single and complete project include 0.0194 acre [230 linear feet] of stream channel and 0.047 acre of riparian non-riverine wetlands, or a total loss of 0.066 acre of waters of the US. Construct by-pass channel with lining as shown with the stream banks still in place at upper and lower ends. This channel is to be stabilized immediately after construction. In one work day remove lower "dam" extending lining as necessary. Remove upper "dam" extending lining. Build a temporary sandbag dam across the stream to force flow into the by- pass channel. Wrap the upstream side of the dam with plastic to reduce seepage through the dam. 4. Construct culverts with headwalls as shown except that wing walls on the south side of the culvert pipe will be delayed. Place fill (properly compacted) between pipes, on each side of pipes and to at least one foot above the top of each pipe. If during construction of the pipes and headwalls pounded water collects, it shall be pumped out through a silt sack. 5. Divert stream flow to pipes. Fill by-pass ditch with compacted soil. 6. Construct south side end walls. 7. Complete grading of road including water line, sewer line (if applicable), and low point storm drain. S. If a rain event during the construction of the culverts causes any ponded water within the disturbed area, it is to be pumped out through a silt sack. 9. All grading activity will follow the stabilization schedule set on Sheet CD3. IF THE SKIMMER IS CLOGGED WITH TRASH AND THERE IS WATER IN THE BASIN, USUALLY JERKING ON THE ROPE WILL MAKE THE SKIMMER BOB UP AND DOWN AND DISLODGE THE DEBRIS AND RESTORE FLOW. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK, PULL THE SKIMMER OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE BASIN AND REMOVE THE DEBRIS.ALSO CHECK THE ORIFICE INSIDE THE SKIMMER TO SEE IF IT IS CLOGGED; IFSO REMOVE THE DEBRIS. IF THE SKIMMER AND/ OR BARREL PIPE IS CLOGGED, THE ORIFICE CAN BE REMOVED AND THE OBSTRUCTION CLEARED WITH A PLUMBER'S SNAKE OR BY FLUSHING WITH WATER.
