Dear Mr. Tedder,
I am a member of American Whitewater. I also am a fairly frequent kayaker on the Tuckaseegee River
in Dillsboro. I paddled it three times this summer. I urge you to support the removal of Dillsboro Dam.
This should allow restoration of the watershed and benefit river paddlers from around the state and the
Asheville region to paddle the Tuckasegee River. I won't go into elaborate detail about the benefits of
the dam removal since I am aware that American Whitewater has already detailed this to you. I do
support the points made by American Whitewater. Thank you for considering these points and our
interests. Please issue the permits necessary for the removal of Dillsboro Dam promptly.
