Fl. General Information
Exhibit F includes the General Design Drawings of the principal Keowee - Toxaway Project
(Project) works. The Exhibit F drawings in Appendix F1 show all major structures in sufficient
detail to provide a full understanding of the principal Project works.

F2. Design Drawings
The General Design Drawings show overall plan views, elevations, and sections of the principle
Project works in sufficient detail to provide an understanding of the principal Project works. The
drawings are prepared in accordance with FERC's regulations 18 CFR §4.41(g) and §4.39.
The General Design Drawings were developed from Exhibit L drawings from the Existing
License. Table 172 -1 lists the General Design Drawings in Appendix F1.

F3. Supporting Design Report
In accordance with 18 CFR § 4.51(g) and 4.41(g)(4), applicants are required to submit (along
with the license application) two copies of a Supporting Design Report. The purpose of the
Supporting Design Report is to demonstrate "...existing structures are safe and adequate to fulfill
their stated functions..."
Since the Project began operation, a FERC- approved independent consultant has performed Part
12 Safety Inspections at the Project seven times and submitted Safety Inspection Reports to the
FERC once every five years in conformance with 18 CFR §12, Safety of Water Projects and
Project Works. Table F3 -1 summarizes these reports, report dates, and the name of the FERC-
approved independent inspector who performed each of these Part 12 Safety Inspections for the
Jocassee Development and Table 173 -2 provides the same information for the Keowee
Development. Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke Energy) is not proposing any modifications
to the principal Project works as part of this License Application.

Duke Energy believes its recent Part 12 Safety Inspection Reports fulfill the requirements of 18
CFR §4.41(g)(4) for the filing of a Supporting Design Report with the Application for New
License for the Project. The Part 12 Safety Inspection Reports, including the most recent set of
reports, are on file with the FERC. Duke Energy will provide, upon request, an electronic copy
of the most recent Part 12 Safety Inspection Report, as well as hardcopies of previous Part 12
Safety Inspection Reports.

F4. Privileged Treatment Of Drawings
In accordance with 18 CFR § 388.112, Duke Energy is requesting privileged treatment for the
General Design Drawings for the Project because the drawings contain Critical Energy
Infrastructure Information (CEII). This request is made in accordance with the series of CEII
Rulemakings issued by the FERC in Order Nos. 630, 630 -A, 643, 649, 662, 683, and 702. Duke
Energy is requesting the General Design Drawings be given privileged treatment because the
drawings clearly show the location of the critical Project features and design information. For
this reason, Duke Energy has filed the Exhibit F General Design Drawings under separate cover
in accordance with CEII Regulations for the License Application filing.
In accordance with FERC's CEII Regulations, the following statement regarding access to CEII
is provided:
Procedures for obtaining access to Critical Energy Infrastructure Information
(CEII) may be found at 18 CFR §388.113. Requests for access to CEII should be
made to the Commission's CEII Coordinator.
