Lee is a very small interior county, approximately 250 square miles, and can not shoulder the adverse effects of coal ash to its air, land, and groundwater. Transporting coal ash hundreds of miles toward Lee county will allow toxins to escape into the air, dust the ground and any other object in its path, and eventually reach surface waters. Though small in land area, many Lee citizens depend on agriculture and animal production for income and as a food source. Through air, soil, and water, coal ash contamination will enter our food chain via crops grown and animals raised. It would likely take decades for the toxic poisoning to detected. Please deny this permit to poison our air, our land, our water ....our lives ! Marsha H Ligon 1413 Palmetto Path Sanford NC
