It's for a CAMA Major application in New Hanover County a,nd it's probably going to be a courtesy copy (I'm about 95%
sure) but I won't be 100% sure until the Army Corps let us know if a permit will be required. It might help to clear up any
confusion if it was entered into BIMS though.

Kristi,
I found the file in laserfiche. Based sole upon the CAMA Major App in Laserfiche, it looks like they came in for a GP56 for
2.47 square feet of fill for two small coastal wetland impacts. If so, it looks like this would be covered under our
GC3883. There wouldn't be a need to get written approval from the DWR for this project, although they could send in a
courtesy copy to Raleigh if they choose.
I also went and spoke to Robb Mairs (CAMA rep) and he said that there really are not any impacts from fill and that the
project is just dealing with pilings and encasement of pilings. If Tyler Crumbley (USACE rep) sends out an email stating
that no Federal Permit is required then I will not have to issue anything.
Either way, the applicant does not need to receive permission from the DWR for this project. I hope that this info helps
out. Please let me know if I didn't answer your questions.

This doesn't have a BIMS number so I put the documents in Laserfiche under Non Dot, Misc USACE, U-55346.

Good Morning Kristi Lynn and Chad,
I've reviewed the information in Laserfiche and spoke with the Corps about this project. Apparently this is part of the
City of Wilmington Cross City Trail system and this package was sent out by Coastal Management because it requires a
CAMA Major Permit. Per the Corps, this walkway will require a Section 10 permit, no 404 or 401 will be required. Since
this is a City of Wilmington project (not DOT), I believe Chad Coburn in the WiRO has been handling these because I have
not received any information on the other phases of this project. I've copied him on this e-mail so he might could offer
some more insight on the project and how these are typically entered into BIMS.
I know this is confusing because it has a TIP number, within DOT Right of Way and likely has some DOT funds involved,
but it is a City of Wilmington project and like I stated above, I don't usually get these applications.
