NO WAY!! Duke Energy should be responsible and provide protection of every contact with the drainage their fill creates. Why Lee County ever was their choice, blows my mind! They are contaminating water across this STATE of NC, and have not been controlled properly. The problems RUN from Asheville, Salisbury, to Wilmington! Across the state from mountain to ocean shore -line! Montgomery County, NC has NO well water, WHY ?? Camp Lejeune and barrels of cancer causing liquids ?? No HELP to Cancer from water contamination until after I come back from 50 years of being away! I am angry!! Please Leadership be adamant about this great territorial STATE water supplies!! Water Treatment plant for small county of Lee, can barely meet all demands at present, so Duke Energy wants them to add this GROSS coal -ash LEACHATE to their duties ? ?? NO! NO! Please find other way and let Duke Energy be responsible for HEALTH of receivers of contaminated water!!! No drainage South to POST of strength for USA!! THINK!! Sincerely, Carolyn Hakola
