I obtained responses from the Catawba Tribe and UKBCI. Both had no specific concerns, but just asked that we notify them if Native American artifacts and / or human remains are located during the ground disturbance phase of this project. We are happy to include both of their requests in the project commitments. So, I'm thinking that's everything for this one..... but let me know if you need anything else and thanks! Outstanding items- - The 401 WQC. If it's an individual WQC, I'll need to coordinate it with the EPA (that usually takes 2-3 days to complete). - ESA concurrence letter and the information you sent them for consultation. - Any tribal responses (understand the 30 days isn't complete yet). Just checking to see if there are any other issues / things that either of you need from me regarding the permits for this one. The 30 day tribal notification period ends April 271", and I haven't obtained any responses from the tribes, but will follow up on April 271" to confirm. I think, that's the only remaining item. In the mean time, just want to thank you both again(!!), and let me know if there are any other permit needs. So, the PCN (under E. 3) doesn't note what kind of stream will be impacted (cold, cool, or warm). Please let me know. Also, I didn't see that they have the same type (in -kind) available - I need to know that to assign the correct ratio. Re the bank mitigation - why isn't the stream mitigation on a bank acceptance letter with a POC for the bank (so we can send the MRTF to them)? I also need an acceptance letter so I know which HUC the mitigation is located in and if the mitigation is in -kind or not. The wetland mitigation is coming through DMS (0.06 acres at 2:1= 0.12 acres), but the stream mitigation needs are being obtained from a mitigation bank (389' at 2:1 = 778'). The MRT form for the stream mitigation can be sent to Brad Chilton wbchilton@ncdot.gov, and he will have the mitigation banker sign the form.
