RE: The Glenns Development
Parcel ID # 02239083
Town of Wingate, Union County, North Carolina
Dear Mr. Duval:
Lowrys Environmental & Ecological Services, LLC (LEES) conducted a jurisdictional wetland
and stream evaluation of the property known as The Glenns Development Site (PID #: 02239083;
f46.95-acres) that is located adjacent to the Monroe Bypass, approximately 1,800 feet east of the
intersection of the Monroe Bypass and Ansonville Road, in the Town of Wingate, Union County,
North Carolina.
Physical Characteristics of the Site
The site contains a mixture of the following vegetative types: hardwood dominated forests, pine
dominated forest, hardwood -pine mixed forests, and areas previously cleared and left to naturally
regenerate. Topography would be considered rolling with minor peaks and valleys.
Review of Data Prior to Field Visit
Prior to visiting the site, aerial photographs, soil maps, and the National Wetlands Inventory
(NWI) maps were reviewed. The aerials (both recent and historic) did not reveal any large areas
of suspected wetlands. Review of the soils map revealed that there are no hydric soils mapped
on the site. Review of the NWI map for the site revealed that there are no mapped jurisdictional
features within the project boundary.
Field Review of the Site
A review of the site was conducted on June 14, 2019. During this visit, no jurisdictional wetlands
were observed on the site. Additionally, no intermittent or perennial streams were observed on
the site.
