The White Buffalo mitigation site is part of the Yadkin Valley umbrella mitigation site located in Surry
County, NC sponsored by Wildlands Holding. The 12.9-acre site is adjacent to Jackson Creek in the
Yadkin River Basin (03040101) and located 4 miles northwest of Dobson NC.
NCDOT has acquired stream credits from the White Buffalo mitigation site in order to offset the
unavoidable impacts associated with TIP projects located within HUC 03040101. Wildlands holding will
be debiting their ledger for 778 linear feet of steam mitigation to cover the 389 linear feet of impacts
associated with U-5312. The debit is shown below.
