I’ve reviewed your request for a permit modification for the replacement of Bridge # 3 over Deep Creek on US 264 in
Dare County (DWR project # 14-0513 v.2). Given that there are no additional impacts to wetlands or waters, a formal
modification of the 401 is not required. All the conditions associated with the original Water Quality Certification issued
on July 2, 2014 still apply. This e-mail serves as authorization from DWR to proceed with the proposed work as
