THIS STATEMENT OF SPECIAL INSPECTIONS IS SUBMITTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 2018 NC BUILDING CODE PARAGRAPH 1704.3.1.
IT INCLUDES:
1. THE MATERIALS, SYSTEMS, COMPONENTS AND WORK REQUIRED TO HAVE SPECIAL INSPECTIONS OR TESTS BY THE
BUILDING OFFICIAL OR BY THE REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBLE FOR EACH PORTION OF THE WORK.
2. THE TYPE AND EXTENT OF EACH SPECIAL INSPECTION.
3. THE TYPE AND EXTENT OF EACH TEST.
4. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL INSPECTIONS OR TESTS FOR SEISMIC OR WIND RESISTANCE AS SPECIFIED IN
SECTIONS 1705.11, 1705.12, AND 1705.13.
5. FOR EACH TYPE OF SPECIAL INSPECTION, IDENTIFICATION AS TO WHETHER IT WILL BE CONTINUOUS, PERIODIC, OR
PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NOTATION USED IN THE REFERENCED STANDARD WHERE THE INSPECTIONS ARE

OBSERVATIONS AND TESTS. THESE OBSERVATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AND THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL
IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE. DAILY REPORTS WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR ON THE DAY THAT THE OBSERVATION IS
PERFORMED. INTERIM REPORTS WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AND THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE
CHARGE ON A WEEKLY BASIS. DISCREPANCIES WILL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE GENERAL
CONTRACTOR ON THE DAY THAT THEY ARE OBSERVED. ANY DISCREPANCIES THAT ARE THAT ARE NOT CORRECTED IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS WILL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AND DESIGN
PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE. THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR OF RECORD WILL PROVIDE A STATEMENT OF SPECIAL INSPECTIONS
TO THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AND THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE AT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS TO MAKE THEMSELVES FAMILIAR WITH CHAPTER 17 OF THE 2018 INC BUILDING CODE. NOTE: THE

ENVIRONMENTAL:
