- Previous Issues
o No Substantial issues in MY1
- Plots 1-12 and 15-18 are for coastal headwater stream remediation
o No approval from USACE has been provided yet
o Average stem density of 433 stems/ acre
0 3 plots are not meeting success criteria likely due to prolonged saturation. Visual assessment from the
surrounding areas shows they are doing well though so no remedial work is anticipated at this time
■ Plots 5,6 and 12 All of which are in the coastal headwater section of the site.
o Plot 19 has 243 stems per acres using planted stems but 324 when including appropriate volunteers
(Water oak and Bald cypress
o Ask about status of coastal headwater credit release, copy of credit release letter
o CVS performance criteria and based on standards of 320 not 260 stems per acre.

Thanks for the review.
#1—the final performance standard is 260 stems/acre for nutrient/buffer. The reference in the vegetation data
(Appendix B) for 320 stems per acre is the DMS Shiny App tool that utilizes the interim success criteria of 320 stems/acre
at year 3. We aren't able to change that. The DWR report itself does not reference the 320 stems/acre though. We'll be
sure to make this clear in future reports.
#2 — please see attached USACE stream credit release at full amount.
I will work on the bond and get that over to you all.

Hi Cara,
DWR has reviewed the Year 2 Monitoring Report for the Scarborough site and have the following comments:
1. For buffer and nutrient offset mitigation, the interim performance standard for stem density within monitoring
plots is 260 stems per acre, not 320 stems per acre as is indicated from your vegetation assessment data. Please
note this and correct it in all future monitoring reports.
2. DWR requires Water and Land Solutions to provide confirmation from USACE stating that stream performance
standards have been met prior to a credit release of riparian buffer credit along the coastal headwater streams.
By copy of this correspondence, this monitoring report is approved by DWR. Issuance of a credit release will be provided
once DWR receives confirmation of approval from USACE. Additionally, confirmation of bond renewal through next
year's monitoring will be required prior to the issuance of a credit release.
DWR approves a 20% reduction in the bond amount.
