ERIC BOYETTE SECRETARY Re: UT to Fisher Branch, TIP No. R-2579B; Action ID No. SAW-2008-03183; DWR Project No. 2014-0090 v.2 Mr. Brumagin: As you are aware, the Department has monitored the UT to Fisher Branch Site since construction was completed in March 1, 2018. The site is located in Forsyth County and was constructed as a part of the U-2579B Winston-Salem Northern Beltway TIP project. The UT to Fisher Branch Site is located on the Winston-Salem Northern beltway eastern section just south of Hastings Mill Road. Construction was completed in March 2018 and site reforestation was completed March 1, 2018. The site provides 490 linear feet of stream restoration to offset impacts associated with the U-2579B project. Per the permit requirements, NCDOT was required to visually monitor the stream mitigation site for channel stability and vegetative success on an annual basis for five years or until success criteria were met. During the monitoring period, annual monitoring reports were submitted to the appropriate regulatory agencies via the Environmental Analysis Unit (EAU) website: https:llconnect.ncdot.gov/resources/Environmental/EAU/Monitoring-StewardshipIPa esldefault.aspx After five years of vegetation and stream stability monitoring, UT to Fisher Branch Site stream restoration site indicate that the planted vegetation is surviving and the stream remains stable. Individual annual monitoring reports are available on EAU'S website for 2018-2022.
