HomeMy WebLinkAbout20050046 Ver 2_Other Agency Comments_20141002REPLY TO ATTENTION OF Regulatory Division DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY WILMINGTON DISTRICT, CORPS OF ENGINEERS 69 DARLINGTON AVENUE WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA 28403 -1343 October 2, 2014 Action ID No.: SAW- 2006 -41628 and State Permit No. 41 -05 Mr. David Greer 136 Skystasail Drive Wilmington, North Carolina 28409 Dear Mr. Greer: OCT 0 7 2014 I Reference your application for renewal of a Department of the Army permit (DA) for continued maintenance dredging around the existing docking facility at Sloop Point Plantation, adjoining the Atlantic Intracoastal Water Way, off of Sloop Point Road (SRI 561) in Hampstead, Pender County, North Carolina. Coordinates are: 34.410706 N, - 77.596229 W Your proposal has been reviewed and found to be consistent with the provisions and objectives of the CAM,&-Corps Programmatic Permit process (copy attached) for major development in an area of Environmental Concern and excavation and/or filling that receive authorization from the State of North Carolina pursuant to NCGS 113A -118 and 113 -229. Therefore, you may commence construction activity in strict accordance with applicable State authorization, or the approved plan. Failure to comply with the State authorization or conditions of the Federal permit could result in civil and/or administrative penalties. If any change in your work is required because of unforeseen or altered conditions or for any other reason, plans revised to show the change must be sent promptly to this office and the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management prior to performing any such change or alteration. Such action is necessary as revised plans must be reviewed and the authorization modified. Your Department of the Army permit will expire on December 31, 2016.
