This letter is in response to your request, dated August 11, 2014, to allow the remnant bulkhead on the south bank of
Colly Creek to remain as part of the new bridge structure arid not require its removal as required in Condition 3 of CAMA
Permit No. 60-14.
Your request indicates that the remnant bulkhead and supporting piles are helping to stabilize the stream bank of Colly
Creek. The request also indicates that the top of the bulkhead is very close in elevation to the normal water level of the
creek and that tree roots have grown over the bulkhead incorporating it into the natural environment.
This �.etter of Itef nement authorizes the applicant to leave in place the existing remnant bulkhead on the south side of
Colly Creek as described in your request letter dated August 1 l, 2014. This letter shall be attached to the original of
CAMA Permit No. 60-14 and all documents shall be readily available on site when a DCM representative inspects the
project for compliance. All conditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force unless altered herein.
