3d Explain the purpose of the proposed project
The project concsists of a 44 -unit age restricted community with associated wet pond,a proposed greenway for the
Village of Marvin and construction of a public sanitary sewer system to serve the Amber Meadow Subdivision
3e Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used
The project involves the construction of approximately 1,810 -If of 8' wide greenway trail which may be either mulch or
concrete. The trail is located within a 30' easement inside the stream buffer, and is to be generally centered in the
easement except where necessary to be adjusted to avoid existing trees and minimize impacts Additionally, a portion of
public sanitary sewer line (45 -If) and manhole construction will occurr within the buffer Construction equipment for both
projects is anticpated to be a combination hand tools and motorized equipment Lastly, the stormwater ouffall has been
extended to accommodate the proposed greenway trail and minimize other disturbance within the buffer by avoiding the
need for an additional culvert within the buffer under the trail downstream of the stormwater outfall.

D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
la Specifically, describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project
The greenway has been designed to run along the uphill portion of the buffer to avoid impacts to wetlands Additionally, notes
have been added to the plans to have the greenway field staked and verified prior to construction to avoid removing existing
trees The sanitary sewer pipe connects within 26' of the outer edge of the buffer to an existing sewer line (within an existing
easement) located in the buffer
lb Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques
Clearing along the greenway will be kept to within 3' on each side of the 8' wide greenway Where possible hand tools will be
used for clearing of vegetation Greenway will be staked in field an dvenfied prior to construction to avoid existing trees
Additionally, the 200' buffer is being re- vegetated with 88 large maturing trees
