Permits & Engineering Comments:
This is a permit renewal for a discharge into the Cullasaja River in the Little Tenessee River Basin.
This facility is renewing at existing flow with no change in wastewater characteristics. Within the
past twenty four months this facility had no violations of permit limits. Data shows that this facility
is operating well. Past wasteloads did not indicate any problems. Permits and Engineering will
recommend existing limitations with monitoring reflective of a class II facility. Renewal application
package should be forthcoming to the permittee. The region must verify facility class, Longitude and
latitude, precisely describe facility components and address facility compliance with Special
Condition Part III D (sludge management condition). Region should also comment on a phased in
chlorine limit of 28 ug/I since the discharge is to a B-Trout stream.
