SUBJECT: Instream Monitoring Requirements For Monroe's Mobile Home
Par]: (NPDES # NC0055913, Guilford County)
While evaluating the wasteload allocation for Monroe's MHP, I noticed
that the facility's downstream sampling site is only 25 feet downstream from
the discharge point. The downstream monitoring requirement is meant to pro-
vide an indication of the amount of impact to a stream by a discharge. I
suggest relocating the downstream sampling site to 200 feet below the point
of discharge to give a more accurate estimate of the discharge's impaci to
the water- quality of Polecat Creek.
