After talking to Mike Carson (ORC at Shields Mobile Home Park in Alamance Co.) and looking at maps,
we established that the new sample point for the downstream sample will be "100 feet downstream of
discharge." That's as far away as we can get and still be safe. Please let me know if any questions.
Thanks.

Please read below email from Mike Carson, ORC at Shields Mobile Home Park in Alamance Co. Is
there anything we can do to help out Mr. Carson? I talked to him on the phone yesterday, he is hoping
to change the downstream sample location due to safety concerns.

Hello Jenny,
hope you and your family is well, being the state is working on our renewal permit for Shields M-H-P #
NCO055271 I would like to request to relocate the down stream sample point now that our permit is in
review now. I have to collect a sample from the bride state Rd 1529 there has been more than once
when I was in immediate danger due to traffic, in the winter with ICE and Snow it is extremely dangerous
in fear of slipping and falling into traffic. Durham St. EXT is one of the main roads leading to Western
High School and even when school is out it is still a very busy road, due to the hold times on Fecal Sample
I have to run the plant/samples first thing in the morning between 6am-7am. If you could please look into
changing the sample point to 50 feet below the discharge. You may reply to this email or my city email.
Thank you,
James M. Carson
