Sue,
We staked the limits ourselves. I have explained the importance of the disturbance limits to them and insisted that our
stakes remain in place during the duration of the project. Thank you for working with us on this. I hope you have a good
vacation. We will see you in May.
Thanks,
Rich

Did you verify /measure the staked limits? I add that condition to projects that are within a few feet of
triggering mitigation because it's easier to go over it carefully before construction than dealing with
violations or restorations if something goes wrong. If you will verify that the contractor staked the limits
accurately and that he knows that no wiggle room exists beyond those staked limits without a permit
modification which HPU may not want to do if it would trigger mitigation, then I will waive the condition
and conduct a compliance visit in early May.

Sue,
I checked with the contractor and he said that would kill him. The University has to have all of this
complete by the end of July. He is already delayed due to the time it has taken us to get the plans
approved through the City. The area is already staked and we went over the specific impact sequence in
the field with the contractor and the erosion control inspector at a pre -con two weeks ago. Is there any
possible time this week or is there anyone else from your office that could meet us?
Thanks,
Rich

I didn't realize this was all ready to go. I'm on vacation starting Thurs through May 4t" and my schedule
is very tight. I can squeeze in a site visit on 5/4 at 1 pm. Can you make that work or will that be a huge
problem?
