The Letter authorizes a directional bore of three (3) 1.25” diameter HDPE conduits within one6” diameter bore for Segra’s telecommunications line relocation associated with the U-4906Gum Branch Road widening project. The active CAMA Permit for this project authorizesmultiple utility relocations, however the need for this specific utility relocation was notidentified in the permit application. The proposed total bore length would be 2,306 feet andlocated approximately between STA. 60+00 and STA. 80+00. The bore would be constructedapproximately 10’ below the bottom of Half Moon Creek, with the bore pits located on highground outside of the Public Trust Shoreline AEC. The proposed bore will not result in anyadditional impacts to wetlands or waters of the State. Please let me or Stephen Lane know if you have any questions or concerns. This utility relocation, which was not originally identified in project planning, is currently preventing construction from moving forward on the project. We appreciate anything that you can do to help expedite issuance of the mod. I have attached Segra’s encroachment plan submittal separately from the modification for your reference.
