Per General Stormwater Permit No. NCG060309 for the AdvancePierre Foods facility (located at 3437 East
Main Street, Claremont, NC in Catawba County; I"ae 3 states: Within two weeks H. Notify the Division's
Re iiornall Office of the exceedance date and value via email or, when it is developed, an electronic form
created by the Division for reporting exceedances.
Exceedance #'.I.. - Ilhe facility collllected stormwater samplles from Outfalls 1. and 2 on March 3, 2023. 11he
laboratory report dated March 20, 2023 reported a value of 89 mg/L. for Oil & Grease at OutfallI #'.I.. with a
permit benchmark of 1.5
mg/l.... As per permit requirements, the facility Ihas entered into a I"ier One Response per
Section E-5 and I"ablle 3.
Exceedance #2 - Ilhe facility collllected stormwater samplles from Outfalls 1. and 2 on March 3, 2023. 11he
laboratory report dated March 20, 2023 reported a pH value of 5.93 at OutfallI #'.I.. with a
permit benchmark of 6.0 9.0. As per permit requirements, the facility Ihas entered into
a I"ier One Response per Section E-5 and I"ablle 3.

Ilhe source creating the Oil & Grease exceedance is being looked into. However, regular inspections are made
on outside storage tanks and equipment and no recent Issues Ihave been reported. 11he
sampling points, even though they are
the most representative points possible, are collllected from a stream channelI that is "Influenced" additionally
by surrounding industry(s).
Ilhe above information willI be documented on the quarterly DMR that willI be submitted and as required by
the Gernerall Permit, the SWPPP willI be updated with this I"ier I notification.
