I am/have been out of the office for a while, but these questions look like they're about the new stuff that I haven't seen yet and appear to be fairly straightforward. Thanks for any help! -erin From:Wainwright, David Sent:Wednesday,April 8, 2015 2:28 PM To: Cheely, Erin K;Amschler, Crystal C SAW Subject: RE: 1-5507 additional JD package info Erin, 1 I looked over the information you sent for this project Not being familiar with the project area | have a few questions or clarifications ona few of the features: * 3CC This is noted as a riprap lined feature that rated a low intermittent score and appears to run from 1-485 to Sugar Creek. Is there a chance that this is a stormvxater/drainage feature? There's some sort of service road running be|am/ the highway |fara gas line or something |ikethat—\ and this small channel runs down the hill from the highway and over/through the service road. Don't recall any pipes saitmay be driven by runoff * 3CA Does 3CA connect under |-4OSto311?Yes * 3{lM Appears to be a very short segment; does it connect to anything or continue out of the project area? We believe that it may connect to S22 under the highway * 3QO This feature doesn't appear to be very long, yet scored perennial; I was wondering what the source of the flow is. |t doesn't appear togo outside of the project boundary. Origin believed tabea pipe that originates outside the project study area. * 3{lE It looks like S11 is the longer feature; is SQE the very short side tributary coming into S11? If so, do you have any more information on it it scored a moderately strong intermittent This is short section of an intermittent channel in the corridor. |t was a deeply incised channel with a large headcmt. * 3CL I see the label on Figure 3f, but do not see the corresponding line on the map.The DWR stream rating sheet indicates the feature is right on the project boundary line. Am I missing it or is it not shown because it is just outside of the boundary? There's a very small section of the channel inside the corridor. I think it's just covered up by the boundary. Thanks! Since then a revised NRTR was completed that has been updated to include these additional areas and serves to replace the NRTR that was completed in August 2014. 1 will be sending you via FTS the updated forms and waters upload sheets for these new resources. I will also send an excerpt from the updated NRTR that includes all of the new tables and figures. To make things a little easier, I highlighted in yellow on the Tables and Figures all resources not previously covered by either the 2014 1-5507 site visit/JD package or the 2012 R-4902 Final JD. The only figures with new resources are Figures 3a1, 3a2, 3a3, 3b and 3f. This project will be going to Design-Build, so we will need a Final JD for this project(I've requested 404 address labels and will pass them along when I receive them). Please review and let me know if you would like an additional site visit to verify any of these new resources for the Final JD. (I realize Monroe is a top priority on the Corps' plate right now, but I wanted to go ahead and pass this info along so we can set up a field visit sometime in the future if needed.) Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information, thanks! -Erin Erin Cheely, Environmental Biologist North Carolina Department of Transportation PDEA— Natural Environment Section 1598 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC 27699-1598 voice: 919.707.6108 fax: 919.212.5785 -----Original Message----- From:Amschler, Crystal C SAW [mailto:Crystal.C.Amschler @usace.army.mil] Sent: Friday, October 24, 2014 1:45 PM To:Jeff Harbour Cc: Lauren Roper; Cheely, Erin K Subject: RE: 1-5507 JD (UNCLASSIFIED) Classification: UNCLASSIFIED Caveats: NONE Jeff, I working to finalize this Jd and reviewed the upload sheet.
