The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the Division of Mitigation Services (DMS) will
provide the additional riparian wetland mitigation for the subject project. Based on the information
supplied by you on Apri19, 2015, the additional riparian wetland impacts are located in CU 03020101 of
the Tar-Pamlico River Basin in the Northern Inner Coastal Plain (NICP) Eco-Region, and are as follows:

These impacts and associated mitigation needs were not projected by the NCDOT in the 2015 impact
data. DMS is currently providing riparian wetland mitigation from the Grimesland Mitigation Site (Phase
II) located in Tar-Pamlico 03020103 for the riparian wetland impacts associated with this project as
required by the 404 and 401 permits that were issued in 2015, as shown in the below table (in mitigation
credits):

DMS has previously made debits for the riparian wetland mitigation requirements from the
Grimesland Mitigation Site, Phase II located in the Tar-Pamlico River basin in cataloging unit 03020103
based on the amounts required in the 404 and 401 permits issued in 2015. DMS proposes to utilize
additional riparian wetland mitigation credits from the Grimesland Mitigation Site (Phase II) to mitigate
for this additional wetland impact. This mitigation acceptance letter replaces the mitigation
acceptance letter that was issued on October 22, 2014. Upon receipt of the revised perxnits, the debit
in the amount required by the issued revised permit(s) will be made and locked to the Grimesland
Mitigation site (Phase I�.
