3a. Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this application:
Allen Station is located in Gaston County NC on the west side of Lake Wylie (formed from impoundment of Catawba River). Mixed
developed space, pastureland, and forested land cover types (evergreen, deciduous, mixed, herbaceous) constitutes the largest land
cover within the project limits, while mixed forest is the largest land cover within a one -mile radius.

Installation of a sediment basin and outfall to control stormwater runoff from the lined CCR landfill. This basin will support both
construction and completed landfill activities. All runoff will be non -contact stormwater. Long -reach excavators will be used to install
the basin.
