Hey Alex,
Thank you for the responses.
Also, thank you for the offer to talk to the USFWS, but technically, you can't consult unless we designate you on our
behalf (only federal agencies can consult on Sections 7 and/or 106).
Thanks,
Brooke

Importance: High
Hey Brooke,
Sorry for the late response been in the field all last week and part of today.
1. See attached NC WAM Assessment. I thought I attached it to the PCN Application, but I guess I forgot my bad.
2. 0.467 Acres of forested area will be clear cut. I don't have a problem reaching out to USFWS to consult with
them regarding any Threatened and Endangered Species if it might speed up the process.
3. Based off available aerial imagery the structures have been on the property since 1994.
4. During design, several alternatives were explored for site layout which would meet Town of Fletcher zoning
setback and buffer ordinances, safety/environmental spacing requirements associated with fuel storage and
use, while minimizing impacts to the adjoining wetland area. The final design was chosen as it was the best -case
scenario for meeting all requirements while ensuring that the project was within budget limits for the client.
Let me know if you need anything else! I would be happy to correspond with USFWS if that would help you out and
speed up the process.
Thanks,
From: Davis, Brooke A CIV USARMY CESAW (USA) <Brooke.A.Davis@usace.army.mil>

Subject: SAW-2022-01261 Dodge's Store Request for Additional Information
Hi Alex,
I am reviewing the PCN for the above -referenced project and need additional information, as follows:
1. 1 did not see the NCWAM forms in the submittal. Therefore, we would require the applicant to purchase 2:1
(0.48-acre) credits from an approved mitigation bank.
2. How many acres and/or individual number of trees greater than 3-inch diameter will be cut for this project? Just
as an FYI, I will have to informally consult with the US Fish and Wildlife Service on this project, which will take 60
days.
3. Do you know how old the existing structures are on the property?
4. Is there no way to shift or reduce the footprint of the proposed commercial property out of wetlands?
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Brooke
