KAy name is James [. McNeill. |arna resident in the Colon community ofLee County, NC. }amnvery
concerned about the Coal Ash being dumped in our area of the county. | feel that it will affect our
environment a lot. We have quite a bit of wildlife that could become extinct in this area. I have COPD &
19"wrand anmon breathing treatments every 4to6 hours. Coal ash can on|xhave a very negat�e
impact on me. '
We have worked hard for 68years to live inthis community but it seems that medon't count when it
comes to what can be put in our community. We are not financially able or young enough to relocate to
another area, even ifvxe could find a buyer. Our property would not be able tobesold now because no
one would want to live here with the possibility of having coal ash close by. This land out in this area,
has creeks & can be very wet with the rains that we get. I am doubtful of the life of the liners that are
going to be used to contain the coal ash. I have children that I would like to inherit what we have
worked for all our lives, but I worry that this is not a place they would want to be.
Duke Energy & Charah have no liability if something should ! Duke Energy �has not got agood
track record!
