FLCWING UNDERNEATH OR AROUND THEM.
THE SKIMMER IS CLOGGED WITH TRASH AND THERE IS WATER IN TI-F SASN.
'SUALLY JERKING ON THE ROPE WILL MAKE -HE SK MMER BOB LP AND DOWN AND
DISLODGE THE DEBR'S AND RESTORE FLOW F TF-".S DOS- NOT WORK, PULL `-IE
SKIMMER OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE BASIN AND REMOVE THE DEBTS. ALSO CHECK THE
ORIFICE INSIDE THE SKIMMER TO SEE IF I- IS CLOGGED, IF SO REMOVE DEBRIS.
IF THE SKIMMER ARM OR BARREL PIPE IS .,LOGGED, THE ORIFICE CAN BE REMOVED
AND THE OBSTRUCTION CLEARED WITH A PLUMBER'S SNAKE OR BY FLUSHING WITH
WATER, D- SURE TO REPLACE THE ORIFICE BEFORE REPOSITIONING THE SKIMMER.
CHECK THE FABRIC LINED SPILLWAY FOR DAMAGE AND MAKE ANY REQUIRED REPAIRS
WITH FABRIC HAT SPANS THE -JLL WIDTH OF THE SPILLWAY CH-0,C `HE EMBANKMENT,
SPIC_WAYS, AND OUTLET FOR EROSION DAMAGE AND INSPECT THE EMBANKMENT FOR
PIPING AND SETTLEMENT. MAKE ALL NECESSARY REPAIRS VVEDIATELY. REMOVE ALL
TRASH AND OTHER DEBRIS FROM THE SKIMMER POOL AREA.
FREEZING WEATHER CAN RESULT IN ICE FORMING IN THE BASIN. SOME SPECIAL
PRECAU_ONS SHOULD BE TAKEN IN THE WIN-rR TO PREVENT THE SKIMMER FROM
PLUGGING WITH ICE,
7 INSPECT INLETS AT LEAST WEEKLY AND AFTER EACH SIGNIFICAN- (12' OR GREATER)
RAINFALL -VENT. CLEAR THE WIFE OF ANY DEBRIS OR OTHER OBJECTS TO PROVIDE
ADEQUATE FLOW FOR SUBSEQUENT RAINS. TAKE CARE NOT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERCUT
THE WIRE MESH DURING SEDIMENT REMOVAL. REPLACE STONE AS NEED=D.

EROSION CONTROL MAINTENANCE PLAN
1. ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES WILL BE CHECKED FOR STABILITY
AND OPERATION FOLLOWING EVERY RUNOFF - PRODUCING RAINFALL BUT IN NO CAST
LESS THAN ONCE EVERY WEEK. ANY NEEDED REPAIRS WILL BE MADE IMMEDIATELY TO
MAINTAIN ALL PRACTICES AS DESIGNED.
2. INSPECT SEDIMENT TRAPS AT LEAST WEEKLY AND AFTER EACH SIGNIFICANT
RA'NFALL EVENT AND REPAIR IMMEDIATLY. REMOVE SEDIMENT, AND RESTORE THE TRAP
TO 'TS ORIGINAL DIMENSIONS WHEN THE SED�MENT HAS ACCUMU'_ATED TO ONE-HALF
THE DESIGN DEPTH 0^ THE TRAP. PLACE THE SEDIMENT THAT IS REMOVED IN
DESIGNATED DISPOSAL AREA, AND REPLACE THE PART OF THE GRAVEL FACING THAT IS
IMPAIRED BY SEDIMENT
3. SEDIMENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM BEHIND TFE SEDIMENT FENCE WHEN IT BECOMES
ABOUT 0.5 FEET DEEP AT THE FENCE. THE SEDIMENT FENCE WIL_ BE REPAIRED OR
REPLACED AS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN A BARRIER,
4. A-L AREAS WILL BE FERTILIZED, RESEEDED AS NECESSARY, AND MULCHED

5. GRAVEL CONSTRCCHON ENTRANCE TO BE CLEANED WHEN SEDIMENT ACCUMULATIONS

PERIODICALLY TOP DRESSED WITH 2 INCHES OF #4 STONE TO ,MAINTAIN 6 INCH DEPTH.
6. INSPECT SKIMMER SEDIMENT BASINS AT LEAST WEEKLY AND AFTER EACH
SIGNIFICANT (12' OR GREATER) RAINFALL EVEN' AND REPAIR IMMEDIATELY. REMOVE
SEDIMENT AND RESTORE THE BASIN TO ITS ORDINAL DIMENSIONS WHEN SEDIMENT
ACCUMULA ES TO ONE-HALF THE HEIGHT OF THE FIRST BAFFLE, PULL THE SKIMMER
TO ONE SIDE SO `HAT -HE SEDIMENT UNDERNEATH IT CAN BE EXCAVATED. EXCAVATE
THE SEDIMENT FROM THE ENTIRE BASIN, NOT JUST AROUND THE SKIMMER OR TH=
FFRST CELL. MAKE SURE VEGETATION GROWING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BASIN DOES
NOT HOLD DOWN THE SKIMMER.
REPAIR THE BAFFLES IF THEY ARE DAMAGED. RE -ANCHOR THE BAFFLES IF WATER IS
FLOWING UNDERNEATH OR AROUND THEM.
'F THE SKIMMER IS CLOGGED WITH -RASH AND THERE IS WATER IN -HE BASIN,
JS'JALLY JERIGNG ON THE ROPE WILL MACE THE SKIMMER BOB UP AND DOWN AND
DISLODGE THE DEBRIS AND RESTORE FLOW IF THIS DOSE NOT WORK, PULL THE
SKIMMER OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE BASIN AND REMOVE THE DEBTS, ALSO CHECK THE
ORIFICE INSIDE THE SKIMMER TO SEE IF TT IS CLOGG*_D; IF SO REMOVE DEBRIS.
IF THE SKIMMER ARM OR BARREL PIPE IS CLOGGED, THE ORIFICE CAN BE REMOVED
AND THE OBSTRUCTION CLEARED W'H A PLUMBER'S SNAKE OR BY FLUSHING WITH
WATER- BE SURE TO REPLACE THE ORIFICE BEFORE REPOSITICNNG THE SK'MMER.
CHECK THE FABRIC LINED SPILLWAY FOR DAMAGE AND MAKE ANY REQUIRED REPAIRS
WITH FABRIC THAT SPANS THE FULL WIDTH OF THE SPILLWAY.CHECK THE EMBANKMENT,
SPILLWAYS, ANC OUTLET FOR EROSION DAMAGE AND INSPECT THE EMBANKMENT FOR
PIPING AND SETTLEMENT. MAKE ALL NECESSARY REPAIRS IMMEDIATELY. REMOVE ALL
-RASH AND C-HER DEBRIS FRCM THE SKIMMER POOL AR�A.
FREEZING WEATHER CAN RESULT IN ICE FORMING IN THE BASIN. SOME SPECIAL
PRECAUTIONS SHOLILD 3E TAKEN IN THE WINTER TO PREVENT THE SKIMMER FROM
PLUGGING WITH ICE.
