EROSION CONTROL GENERAL NOTES:
NTS
THE OWNER (SEE MAINTENANCE PLAN BELOW) SHALL TAKE ALL REASONABLE
PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID THE
SILTING OF STREAMS, LAKES, SWAMPS, OR OTHER WATER COURSES DUE TO
THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT.
-
ALL TRENCHES SHALL BE STABILIZED AS SOON AS IS PRACTICAL
THE OWNER SHALL MAINTAIN ALL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES OR DEVICES IN A GOOD STATE OF REPAIR SO
THAT THEY FUNCTION AS INTENDED UNTIL THEIR USE IS NO LONGER WARRANTED. AT THAT TIME, ALL
TEMPORARY CONTROL DEVICES SHALL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF SO AS TO CAUSE NO SILTATION OF
STREAMS OR ANY ADJACENT PROPERTY.
EROSION CONTROL SEQUENCE
1. OBTAIN EROSION CONTROL PLAN APPROVAL.
2. PROTECT CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE PER DETAIL THIS DWG. AT LOCATION SHOWN ON DRAWING.
3. INSTALL SILT FENCE AT LOCATIONS SHOWN ON THIS DRAWING.
4 INSTALL DIVERSION SWALE ALONG EASTERN PROPERTY LINE.
5 INSTALL CHECK DAM IN DIVERSION SWALE.
6 INSTALL TEMPGRARY LINER OF CURLED WOOD MAT IN DIVERSION SWALE.
7 CONSTRUCT STORM WATER DETENTION BASIN.
8. GRADE SITE AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS. -
9 SEED DITCHES WITHIN 15 WORKING DAYS OF COMPLETION OF GRADING.
10 SEED AND MULCH DENUDED AREAS WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER FINISHED GRACES
HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED, EXCAVATION IS COMPLETED OR WORK IS SUSPENDED
FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
IL MAINTAIN EROSION CONTROL MEASURES UNTIL PERMANENT GROUND COVER HAS
BEEN ESTABLISHED. SEE MAINTENANCE PLAN BELOW.
12. REMOVE .ALL TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AND STABILIZE
THOSE AREAS WITHIN 15 WORKING DAYS.
EROSION CONTROL MAINTENANCE PLAN:
1. All erosion and sediment control practices will be checked for stability and operation
following every runoff -producing fainfall but in no case less than once every week. Any
needed repairs will be made immediately to maintain all practices as designed.
2. All construction entrances will be periodically topdressed with and additiono 2 inches of
A'4 stone to maintain proper depth. Any sediment that is tracked into the street will be
immediately removed.
3. Sediment will be removed from the sediment trap when storage capacity has been
approximately 50% filled. Gravel will be cleaned or replaced when the sediment pool no
longer drains properly.
4. Sediment will be removed from behind the sediment fence when it becomes 0.5 feet deep at
the fence. The sediment fence will be repaired as necessary to maintain a barrier.
5. All seeded areas will be fertilized, reseeded as necessary, and mulched according to
specifications in the vegetative plan to maintain a vigorous, dense vegetative cover.
