Contractor shall verify location of existing water and sewer mains and report any deviations to Engineer prior to construction. 4. As of January 1, 1986, anyone dlgging with mechanized equipment in highway right-of-way, private utility easements, or public spaces will be required by North Carolina law to give notice of the proposed excavation to all existing area utilities at least 2 working days before starting to dig. Fire hydrants to be Mueller Centurion, Darling Mark 73, or Clow F-2500 with 5 1/4" valve opening. 12. Water mains shall be buried with minimum of 30-Inches cover, unless otherwise noted. 13. Water mains shall be at least 18 Inches above or 10 feet horizontally from sewer mains, or be of ferrous material. 14. Contractor to lay water mains at extra depth to avoid conflicts with storm drainage or other facilities. 15. Contractor shall notify the City of Jacksonville Engineering Division at least 48 hours prior to commencing any work, inspections, sampling, and pressure tests. 16. Chlorination and pressure tests are required in the presence of the City of Jacksonville Engineering Division. 17. Contractor shall furnish negative bacterial analysis results and 24 hour chlorine residual results to the LL,I r. City of Jacksonville. 18. Contractor shall maintain comprehensive (depth and horizontal locations) field "As Builts" for all installations and submit them to the Certifying Engineer and the City of Jacksonville. 19. All units shall have Individual water and sewer services installed by the contractor. 20. For other detailed construction notes, see plan and profiles, other pion sheets, and specifications. 21.
