V. ADDITIONAL REGIONAL STAFF REVIEW ITEMS
This staff report was completed for the Holly Ridge WWTF permit (W00019907) minor modification request.
ONWASA has requested construction only of an 8-inch force main to pump treated effluent from the future 1-MGD
Southeast Water Reclamation Facility, to be constructed at the Holly Ridge spray field site, to the Summerhouse
WWTF's (W00029945) infiltration basin pump station wet well. This line will be installed parallel to the new 16-
inch raw wastewater line pumping_from the new Summerhouse Pump Station to the new Southeast WRF that will be
permitted by the Fast Track Sewer Extension program. Both lines will be constructed simultaneously to minimize
environmental impacts.
The 8-inch line will run along easements of Holly Ridge Road and Dolph Everett Road. It should be noted that the
line will cross over an unnamed tributary on Dolph Everett Road. Additional permits will be required and submitted,
as stated on the modification narrative: Erosion & Sedimentation Control Permit; US Army Corp of Engineers
Individual 404 permit and 401 NCDEQ DWR permit; Fast Track Sewer Extension permit. The WIRO has no
concerns with this minor modification as long as all necessarypermits and easements are obtained.
