Hi Ryan, You can send any WLS correspondence to me for now, as Emily Dunnigan is now at DMS. Thanks for reviewing Hollowell and since there is just the one comment, I am hoping we can respond in an email vs. a formal memo. The Hollowell site had abnormally dry conditions last year. Rainfall was lower than the 30th percentile for six of the nine months of data collected in MY3 (this was noted in USACE report). This likely had an effect on the tree height growth during MY3. The average tree height did increase from 2.2 ft to 2.8 ft from MY2 to MY3. WLS is not concerned regarding the vigor or the tree survival. Plots 37 and 38 were the most concerning regarding the vigor, and plot 37 was not meeting interim success criteria. As noted in the report a random plot was done near plot 37 and that had a stem density of 445 and better vigor. There are currently no remedial actions proposed. Based on the monitoring year 4 success criteria results, WLS will address any remedial actions in the MY4 report if there are any. WLS is ready to renew the bond for this year's monitoring, and can do so once we have an email documenting any bond reductions. Upon looking at height data in across the entire site, but especially in plots 16-45, it appears that stems are shorter than expected at year 3. Are there any factors that may be contributing to this low height? None were mentioned in the report. The vigor data was also concerning in many of these plots. Are there any remedial actions necessary and if so, what would those actions be? Thank you for your attention to these comments. Please provide an adequate response to all items above along with supporting documents if required. Considering the response provided is adequate to address the comment/s above, this monitoring report will be approved. Confirmation of bond renewal through next year's monitoring will be required prior to the issuance of a credit release.
