This letter is in response to the Notice of Intent Case No. NOV-2021-DV-0287
concerning the spill that occurred on March 17t', 2021 at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and
North Elm Street, Guilford County, High Point, North Carolina.
The above overflow was caused by paper products that were found blocking the line. There is low flow
in the area due to the number of businesses being closed and since Covid-19. Once the line was
cleared the manhole level dropped. This line was cleaned and flushed and will be periodically inspected
and flushed if needed to help prevent any future spills in this area, but we believe this was an isolated
incident. We haven't had any issues on this line in the past. Since this incident we haven't had any
more issues in this area.
