General Project Narrative:Replacement of Bridge #161 on Pulley Town Road over Cedar Fork Creek in Wake County. The existing bridge will be replaced with a 70' long x 30' wide single-span bridge constructed with 24" cored slab. Lateral "V" ditches are proposed in the NW and NE quadrant. The proposed drainage system was designed to outfall into the lateral "V" ditch in the NE quandrant. The system was originally designed to outfall outside buffer zone 2 with enough linear offset to provide grass swale treatment for the additional impervious area associated with this project. However, the ditch slope was approximately 6% and therefore a rip rap liner was required, so no grass swale treatment was achieved. Due to the steep natural topography there were no other alternatives for treatment. Typical Cross Section Description: References 1,300 0.20 Average Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): ac.
