Proposed construction will include the high school building, associated parking, drop off areas for passenger & buses, as well as athletic facilities, stormwater control measures and utility extensions. This site proposes private and public sanitary sewer mains. The public sewer is approximately 3,391-If of 8-in gravity sewer, 3,053-1f of 16-in gravity sewer and 2,002-If of 24-in gravity sewer that runs southwest to an existing Town of Apex pump station. The Town of Apex will be permitting the Public sanitary sewer main. The private sewer is approximately 1,635-1f of 8-in DIP gravity sewer and 92-1f of 8-in PVC gravity sewer that runs to the southwest of the site and connects to the public Town of Apex sanitary sewer main. This is the portion of sanitary sewer that is being permitted with this application. The site is not located within a special flood hazard area as determined by FEMA and depicted on FIRM Map # 3720072100J dated May 2, 2006 and FIRM Map #3720072000J date May 2, 2006. The project does require coverage/authorization under a 404 Nationwide and 401 water quality certification. These have been obtained and the permit numbers are as follows: 401 Water Quality Certification Approval: DWR#20210712 USACE Action ID No.: SAW-2020-00524 The new high school building will house classrooms, gymnasium and locker rooms and cafeteria. The anticipated average daily flow was estimated utilizing 12-gpd for each seat in the classroom spaces. ADF = [I 5-gpd/student x 2,350 students] = 35,250-gpd The proposed public gravity sewer main will owned and maintained by the Town of Apex.
