The Division of Water Resources has reviewed your letter,
received February 1, 1994, regarding the Water Treatment
Facilities Improvements for the Town of Mars Hill. The Town of
Mars Hill plans to continue to withdraw water from their two
existing impoundments, Poplar Cove Reservoir and Carter Cove
Reservoir, both located on Big Laurel Creek. The 7Q10 from each
of these impoundments is less than 0.2 cfs, therefore no minimum
release is required.
