Hello Lia, Thanks for your help today in Durham. I've attached the initial interest form and maps for the site we
discussed today. The pond in the northwest corner is the headwaters of Neill's Creek. Since this is a tributary
of the Cape Fear, we don't need to visit that area. There is a stream that runs down the middle of the southeast
leg that is indicated on the soils and usgs. There is also a stream shown in the southwest corner on the soils.
The 2 additional streams in the middle on the Wake GIS map are not subject.
As we discussed today, when Michael & I were out there on Tuesday, there wasn't anything even remotely
indicative of a stream. I recommend meeting at the entrance to the subdivision across the street: Mayfair woods
Drive. Therefore, we can walk across at the indicated confluence and check out the area easily. Site time
should be less than 30 minutes.
I'll be in Southport Monday to Wednesday next week. Thursday & Friday are pretty open. Michael could do it
with you on Tuesday if you want. LeeAnn can drop off the 5 copies to you on Monday with the $200 check.
