Treatment Plant Request for Speculative Limits
and WasteloadAllocations
Dear Mr. Montebello:
Henderson County is planning for improvements to sewer collection and
treatment in the Edneyville/Clear Creek areas of the County to serve existing
residents and plan for future growth and development in this area. The County
has considered alternatives for these needs and is pursuing a proposed new
wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in this area. We are working to prepare the
NPDES Permit application including the necessary Engineering Alternatives
Analysis as well as an Environmental Assessment.
To support completion of the above activities, we are requesting speculative
wasteload allocations for 500,000 gallons per day (gpd) for a new outfall location
on Clear Creek. The estimated near -term design capacity of the WWTP is 300,000
gpd (15 - 20 year horizon), with a possible built out capacity of up to 1,500,000
million gallons per day. While we have not finalized a specific parcel for the
WWTP, we are focusing on an area near the location where Clear Creek crosses
Fruitland Road the enclosed map (Figure 1) depicts the area of the possible
location along Clear Creek where the new outfall would likely be located. The
figure also includes the approximate latitudes/longitudes of the boundaries of the
potential outfall area.
