It is a satellite system to Anson County, WQCS00066. The Anson Co. system distributes grease education and enforces their grease ordinance within the Polkton system. The Polkton system treats lines for FOG and keeps a log tracking this maintenance. Invoices track line cleaning, with 10% or more being cleaned each year. If a blockage should arise, Wadesboro is contacted for use of their jetting truck. Logs are kept for all other maintenance and mowing done to the system. The gravity sewer consists of 8-inch PVC, this however is not detailed on the overall sewer map. It would be handy to update the map to show pipe materials, age (if known), and sizes. The map identifies the location of all manholes. There was a repetitive issue with a residence and the flushing of "flushable wipes" which has since been corrected. The Spill Response Action Plan included necessary components such as 24-hour contact numbers, a response time with a maximum of 2-hours with the typical response being in 30 minutes, post -overflow assessment, etc. An HPL that is now overseen by the county was looked at. Manholes were free of visible signs of overflow and were accessible with properly seated covers.
