I have to know how many square feet of the deck extend into the buffer to be able to authorize the impacts. You'll need this authorization to get a building permit. The plan can be simple, and I've attached an example for your information. The site plan needs to include the following information: • The stream needs to be shown on the site plan. • Show the two zones of the riparian buffer on the plan as measured from the top of the streambank. Zone 1 is measured 30 feet from the top of the stream bank, and Zone 2 is measured from 30 feet to 50 feet. These riparian buffers parallel the stream pattern. • Site plan must depict the footprint of the proposed permanent impacts within Zone 2. • The square footage of the impacts in Zone 2 must be identified in the application. Thank you for your assistance getting this information.
