Veolia is responsible for the sampling, reporting & inspection process. The Town of Spruce Pine is the POTW enforcement. The industry has two discharge points. Pipe #001 is the casting discharge, which is under the 464 CFR. Pipe #002 is the chrome conversion discharge, which is under the 433 CFR. The first six (6) months of 2022 the industry had no violations on Pipe #001 or Pipe #002. The second six (6) months of 2022 the industry had no violations on Pipe #001 or Pipe #002. The industry had no SNC or TRC violations for the reporting year of 2022. Bombardier has an ongoing effort to improve their pretreatment program. The industry has a new operator to operate the treatment system and it has greatly improved their performance. Overall the industry has performed very well. The Town of Spruce Pine is pleased with the industries efforts and cooperation. Corrections were noted on program data info base sheet.
