The facility takes plastic wastes and converts them to oils through pyrolysis. There are several different oil products produced of varying clarities, as well as a charcoal waste product. Some of the equipment involved in the pyrolysis process is located outside at the rear of the facility. The oil storage tanks are also located in this area. There are three 10,000-gallon tanks and one 3,000-gallon tank stored here. All tanks and equipment are located within concrete-bermed secondary containment. An oil water separator is currently being installed to treat stormwater onsite. The building the facility is located in is older and personnel are making improvement projects as they go. There is a stormdrain located below one of the areas that was previously used as a loading dock by the previous tenant. There is a loading bay above the drain. Braven Environmental does not use this bay for loading and unloading. The lot at the rear of the facility where the tanks are located will be paved in the future. Product is loaded into trucks in this back lot. A portable inflatable truck containment is used when trucks are being filled to prevent any spills. The charcoal waste is mixed with fill dirt in a dumpster located in the side parking lot at the facility. The mixture is taken to a permitted landfill by GFL. This dumpster is located outside without a lid. A municipal dumpster is also located in this area. Construction materials are currently staged in the parking lot while the oil water separator is being installed. All totes and drums inside the facility were observed to be stored in secondary containment. Empty totes were located outside near the municipal dumpster and were scheduled to be picked up by SLE Environmental.
