Inspection Summary:
Inspection was requested so a COC can be issued and the plant can become operational. The site is currently at the end of
the construction process and stormwater conveyances are mostly installed. There are two permanant basins onsite. Outfall
002 is located behind the materials storage area at the western end of the site. It is expected to only recieve stormwater
from the service road and parking area. There are ditches that convey water from these areas to the outfall. At this time, two
diversion ditches convey water around the basin. No water is being conveyed to the basin other than what the basin recieves
via sheet flow. The two diversion ditches converge at a point behind the skimmer outlet of the basin and discharge onto the
adjacent quarry property. If the basin is to be permanant, it is recomended that stormwater be conveyed to the basin,
instead of around the basin. The central office should note that Outfall 002 will recieve water from the service/haul road in an(
out of the site. The basin has not yet been fully stabilized.
Outfall 001 discharges from a permanant riser basin at the nothern end of the site. The basin has not been fully stabilized at
this time. The truck wash station and assocaited settling basins and material storage are located at the northern end of the
site and water discharges to the riser basin. A pH treatment system is not yet installed to treat the wash water. It was
stated onsite that the pH treatment will be installed by Friday March 10, 2023 or Monday March 13, 2023 at the latest. Site
contacts should submit photos showing the treatment system once it is intalled. The site is graded for stormwater and wash
water to flow to the truck wash areas and settling basins at the north end of the site. Water flows through the settling basins
and recieves pH treatment in the last basin, before treated water is conveyed to the riser basin and outfall 001.
The settling basins are about 4ft in depth. Water is proposed to be managed so the basins will not overflow.
Once construction is finsihed, the parking lot will be top dressed. Eventually there will be stone placed.
It is also possible there will be a diesel tank placed on site. It has not yet been finalized. It was stated that secondary
containment will be built around the tank if one will be onsite.
