The Division is unable to concur with your certification of no exposure. Based on an inspection of your facility on January 10, 2023, Mooresville Regional Office staff found that industrial activities and/or materials on your site remain and are exposed to precipitation events. Used pallets and boxes were left in the loading bay in addition to an uncovered open -top dumpster. The Division cannot grant your requested exemption from permit coverage when industrial activities or materials are exposed or have the potential to be exposed. Please apply for coverage under an NPDES Industrial Permit. Information can be found at dea.nc.eov/SW-industrial. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Brittany Cook at (919) 707- 3648 or email at Brittany.cook(@ncdenr.gov Sincerely, for Doug R.
