Kym,
Polly has actually been replaced by Alan Johnson (alan.johnson@ncdenr.gov) who is located in the Mooresville Regional
Office. Alan will be taking over this project, although I will continue to help train him for a little longer. Also, Brian
Wrenn’s position as Unit supervisor has been filled by Amy Chapman (amy.chapman@ncdenr.gov). Thank you for
sending this information to us.

David,
I apologize for not copying you when we first sent out this letter yesterday. We mistakenly still had Polly on as the
contact for DWQ for this project, but I think you have replaced her- is that correct?
Thanks,
Kym Hunter

Dear Colonel Baker,
Please find attached a letter and associated attachments, which we are also sending by US mail, requesting the U.S Army
Corps of Engineers to revoke the § 404 Clean Water Act permit for the Monroe Connector/Bypass immediately.
Given the complex nature of the issues raised in the attached letter and the severity of the environmental harm associated
with this project, we request a meeting with you and your staff at your earliest convenience to discuss our concerns.
Thank you for your consideration,
Kym Hunter
