The inspection findings are summarized below and detailed in the attached inspection report. • You had the discharging sand filter system completely replaced with a conventional septic system with leaching lines in March, 2022. • The system has no discharge to surface waters now, therefore, this permit is no longer required. As such, please send written correspondence in response to this letter requesting this permit to be rescinded effective immediately. Mr. Boone has already spoken with the installer of your new system, as well as the Alamance County Department of Environmental Health to verify your discharging system was in fact completely replaced with a non -discharging system, so, once we receive your request to rescind the permit, it can be done immediately. • Alternatively, you may send an email to Mr. Boone to request to have the permit rescinded. Please be aware that the Division may take enforcement action against any permittee who fails to comply with any requirement of their permit. Pursuant to NC General Statute (NCGS) 143-215.6A, a civil penalty of not more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) may be assessed against any person who violates or fails to act in accordance with the terms, conditions, or requirements of any permit issued pursuant to G.S. 143-215.1.
