Dear Ms. Manuel:

Aqua North Carolina, Inc. (Aqua) offers the following response to the above-referenced Notice of Violation
and Intent to Assess Civil Penalty, which was issued for BOD 5-Day (20 Deg. C) Concentration, Chlorine,
Total Residual, Coliform, Fecal MF, MFC Broth, Nitrogen, Ammonia Total (as N) Concentration, PH,
Solids, Total Suspended Concentration, Temperature, Water Deg. Centigrade of frequency violation found
in September 2022 Discharge Monitoring Report.

Aqua’s Response:

The sample results missing from the September 2022 DMR (week 4) were collected in the proper
timeframe per the permit. The results were inadvertently dropped from the EDMR upon initial
submission. The EDMR has been corrected and resubmitted. Attached is a copy of the updated EDMR.
