In response to the above referenced sanitary sewer overflow, the Town of Weldon discovered three (3)
manholes overflowing on January 17, 2023 at 1:3013M. The Town immediately dispatched our jetting
machine to clear the blockage causing the overflow. While jetting the outfall line, the Town found a
broken section of Terra Cotta pipe, disposable wipes and grease. The Town setup bypass pumping then
dug up the section on pipe and replaced it with PVC pipe.
Remedial actions consisted of cleaning the area and creek of solids and applying lime to the affected
area, all in accordance with the Town's Cleanup Procedures.
The Town provided semi-annual Grease Educational Materiai to ail residents via us Postai Service, once
on 5/11/22 in the Consumer Confidence Report and 8/3/22 in the Wastewater and Collection System
Annual Report.

Visual inspections on this High Priority Line have increased to weekly. Jetting and Tying have been
scheduled to determine whether additional sections ore failing.
