Over the past two years the facility has been in compliance. Also, total phosphorous has averaged less than 1 mg/l. - The receiving stream, Perquimans River, is classified as C-Swamp - An ambient station 1 mile downstream of the outfall at SR 1336 shows no DO problems over the past two years. One DO value of 4.6 mg/l was recorded 4/89, but the history of the station indicates that this is not unusual and is not associated with high BOD concentrations. See below. - Chlorine levels in the effluent are too high, as much as 1.1 mg/l. - Effluent from this facility is highly diluted by the Perquimans River. From this and the good condition of the downstream ambient station it is clear that the existing limits will protect water quality in the Perquimans River. - STORET Retrieval PERQUIMANS RIVER AT SR 1336 AT HERTFORD NC 37143 NORTH CAROLINA PASQUOTANK SOUTHEAST 030152 DATE TIME OR BOD WATER DO NH3+NH4- FROM OF DEPTH 5 DAY TEMP N TOTAL TO DAY MEDIUM (FT) MG/L CENT MG/L MG/L 82/01/19 1125 WATER 0 1.5 2.0 10.2 .420 82/02/02 1110 WATER 0 .160 82/02/12 1200 WATER 0 1.6 6.0 7.4 82/03/10 1200 WATER 0 1.7 10.0 8.9 82/04/07 1250 WATER 0 2.3 12.0 8.6 .260 82/05/10 1100 WATER 0 3.2 19.0 5.9 .320 82/06/03 1100 WATER 0 4.2 28.0 6.1 .070 82/07/08 1430 WATER 0 3.2 30.0 5.4 .100 82/08/09 1105 WATER 0 1.7 27.0 6. .050K 82/10/11 1100 WATER 0 2.4 25.0 .130 82/10/11 1100 WATER 0 2.4 20.0 4.5 45 .130 82/11/08 1045 WATER 0 3.6 16.0 7 .080 82/12/02 1130 WATER 0 1.2 19.0 4.9 .380 83/01/10 1100 WATER 0 1.4 8.0 8.5 .160 83/02/02 1110 WATER 0 1.3 8.0 11.0 83/03/08 1055 WATER 0 1.5 13.0 7.5 .150 83/04/14 0900 WATER 0 2.1 15.5 5.1 . 180 83/05/12 1030 WATER 0 3.8 22.0 .140 83/06/24 0645 WATER 0 1.8 25.3 9.5 .440 83/07/18 0815 WATER 0 3.4 28.7 .040 83/08/24 0900 WATER 0 1.4 27.7 .040 83/09/13 0900 WATER 0 1.9 23.0 4.6 .030 83/10/17 0900 WATER 0 1.1 19.9 .030 83/11/21 0830 WATER 0 1.4 12.2 8.4 .030 83/12/12 0845 WATER 0 1.8 10.4 7.3 . 310 84/01/13 0915 WATER 0 1.1 2.0 12.6 .240 84/02/09 0830 WATER 0 5.1 3.7 11.8 .120 84/03/07 0830 WATER 0 1.3 8.4 .240 84/04/25 0940 WATER 0 1.4 15.8 .170 84/05/23 0845 WATER 0 1.7 225 .140 84/06/27 0830 WATER 0 1.8 26..0 .060 84/07/05 0835 WATER 0 2.1 27.5 5.9 .020 84/08/13 0830 WATER 0 1.9 29.5 5.5 .020' 84/09/27 1000 WATER 0 1.3 18.0 6.5 .110 84/10/17 1000 WATER 0 .8 19.0 8.1 .040 84/11/27 1000 WATER 0 1.4 9.0 8.0 .160 84/12/12 1000 WATER 0 1.0 7.0 8.6 .180 85/01/31 1030 WATER 0 1.4 3.0 12.0 .300 85/04/30 1330 WATER 0 3.2 20.0 7.4 .030 85/07/24 1000 WATER 0 1.9 26.0 5.5 85/07/24 1000 WATER 0.327999 .040 85/10/29 1245 WATER 0.327999 1.8 18.0 .7 .180 86/01/02 1120 WATER 0.327999 .5 6.0 .370 86/04/11 1125 WATER 0.327999 1.9 16.0 7.6 .060 86/07/02 1100 WATER 0:327999 2.5 28.0 5.7 .020 86/10/20 1055 WATER 0.327999 1.0 17.0 7.9 .010 87/01/06 1050 WATER 0.327999 6.0 7.7 .280 87/04/30 1245 WATER 0.327999 17.0 8.0 .050 87/07/30 1000 WATER 0.327999 290 87 .010 87/10/27 1100 WATER 0:327999 16..0 9-5 .010 88/01/25 1030 WATER 0.327999 4.0 10.1 .320 88/04/19 1130 WATER 0.327999 14.0 9.0 .080 88/07/21 1100 WATER 0.327999 27.5 5.9 .070 88/10/03 1100 WATER 0.327999 24.5 6.9 .010 89/01/24 1150 WATER 0.327999 7.0 .230 89/04/10 1200 WATER 0.327999 14.5 4.6 .200 89/07/26 1235 WATER 0.327999 30.0 .040 89/10/19 0945 WATER 0.327999 20.5 6.6 .120 90/01/16 1030 WATER 0.327999 .290 90/01/16 1030 BOTTOM 0.1 7.0 8.2 90/04/03 1055 WATER 0.327999 14.0 6.7 .260 90/07/12 0950 WATER 0.327999 30.0 5.7 .020 90/10/03 1110 WATER 0.327999 22.0 6.8 .050 91/01/14 1005 WATER 0.327999 8.0 6.8 .310 91/04/11 1035 WATER 0.327999 19.0 7.5 THAT'S ALL FOLKS STORET RETRIEVAL DATE 91/07/23
